O shabby chic é um estilo que mescla o antigo e o novo, com móveis um pouco desgastados e tons claros, tons pastéis de azul, rosa, verde água, além da base branca. São acrescentados à decoração cristais, velas, porcelanas, rendas, que deixam o ambiente mais feminino.
O estilo cottage country mais parece uma casinha de campo americana. Também em tons pastéis e bem clarinhos, a decoração cottage tem formas mais sinuosas e o branco pode aparecer ou não. Prata e dourado são bastante frequentes nesse estilo, além dos espelhos.
Agora me digam, quem consegue definir realmente, distinguir esses dois estilos tão femininos? Eu gosto é de misturá-los.
Ambos os "jeitos de morar" têm algo em comum, a simplicidade e o aconchego.
